My sister came up last night with her dog, Briece. He actually stays with my parents, so this was really his first trip and night away from home. It’s usually Snippy going to visit him. So Briece walked in and Snippy just barked at him. She was finally boss hehe. Well, Briece is typically a complete hellion, though a cute one. Luckily, he was surprisingly good. The dogs had a great time. They chased each other in the yard for a while, but eventually brought the fight inside. My sister and I were cracking up. They were literally just pouncing on each other. Briece is a little more agile than Snippy. He was so amusing to watch. I should have filmed some of the action. (Maybe I understand the appeal of midget wrestling now.)

We also made cheeseburger soup last night, which is my favorite soup in the world, which is odd because it has celery & carrots, which I despise. They’re not so bad when they’re shredded and finely diced. Man, it was good stuff. hehe well, we made a double recipe, so it will be good for even more days to come. A funny conversation came up while we were eating. Apparently one of my sister’s friends thinks making pasta or cake mix in a box is considered homemade. haha, when my sister asked her what she considered non-homemade, she said “buying a cake already made at the bakery”. Wow…yeah. Sad that so many people have no idea what a good home-cooked meal is like but more so what’s involved in preparing one. It’s not easy. I try to stick to the baking. I’m going to make a pie for Thanksgiving. Yes, I make my own pie crust. I think I’ll go for apple with caramel topping. mmm.

Right before my sister left, we took the dogs for a walk over at the celery bog. This one area was finally people-free so I was able to read the sign about the area. Apparently, it’s actually a marsh, not a bog. I guess I’m confused why they called it a bog in the first place. It’s not as if “bog” is a more attractive word than “marsh”. I keep forgetting to take my camera with me, but here’s a nice aerial shot I found online. It’s really nice. It’s just like my backyard back home except with more people and a marsh. hehe. I need to take Snippy over there more while the weather’s nice, but it’s not as fun by yourself. Well, it would be if there were no other people there.

Well, I need to get to work. I’m a total of 48 hours behind on my Purdue jobs alone. Yeah, go me. Oh, a friend of mine recommended Court & Spark - Bless You album. Sounds promising from the clips I heard, so check it out. They have the nicest ampersand I’ve ever seen on the cover, so it can’t be too bad.
