Friday night rocked. Amy, Alex, Adam, Gary, Adam, Rachel, Vince, Stephanie, Kindari, & Erin all joined me for dinner at Bahama Breeze followed by a swell night of bowling. Really, the highlight of the evening was checking out the place where Adam B. worked. It’s this gigantic warehouse with coolness in every corner: full size palm trees in the work area, the sweetest chairs your butt has ever had the pleasure of sitting in, and piles of fabric swatches and tangible goodness. We saw a gigantic model of the interior of a riverboat they’re working on. It rocked my world. It was perfect.

And bowling was awesome as well. It was a night of Adam E. antics including some 80s ballad performances and groovy dancing. We all made for a nice group, some excellent chemistry. And the girls team totally whooped the boys.

Speaking of which, I’m finally joining a bowling league. It starts in October and will feature free beer & pizza each week hehe. Thus, I’ve finally decided to spend my $100 gift card from rent.com on my very own bowling ball, which will call for a trip up to Lafayette, since that’s the location of the pro shop recommended by my bowling instructor in college. I’m sure Carmel has golfers covered but I don’t trust their bowling expertise.

I spent Saturday with my parents. They invited me to hang with them at the state fair. I tried honey ice cream, which was pretty tasty. They followed me up to carmel for dinner and so my dad could see my apartment. It was good times. I think my favorite part was checking out the sweet vette and petting the ox. It made me miss having farm animals to tend to. It also made me regret being too lazy to bring my camera.

Today brought some lovely weather. I’ve just been chillin’ with the ladies and enjoying being able to have the windows open. If my bike were already downstairs, I’d be all over a bike ride.

I was invited to a pumpkin carving party…well in advance, mind you, and that was super exciting for me. I’ve always wanted to have one but never had enough friends :)

Anyway, tomorrow I’m getting the hook-up with a G5. I had a huge moral debate on spending vs saving, but the guy was offering me a deal that I just couldn’t pass up. And so, it won’t be long before I cross in to that whole new world of mac country. I have no expectations on how it will change my life, but I trust that it will.
