I’m broadcasting live from the Kingman residence, my new adopted home. I joined up with the crew at the awesome steak n’ shake in Lebanon last night and then we all ventured to a party in Broad Ripple. Although we were the outcast crowd huddled around the food, mocking all the other people, it was still a decent time. Shortly after the big year rollover, I gave Mitch a call but really couldn’t hear him, as he was deep in some party in Nashville.
We debated hitting up the Alley Cat after that but soon realized that all of us were pretty keen on chilling back at home. So back at the Kingman’s, we broke out Taboo! and that was good times. Hadn’t played that in ages. So after some stories, we all eventually crashed but not before all agreeing to hit up Denny’s the next morning.

So all 9 of us ventured to Denny’s this morning to find ourselves in line behind all the church people. We were all pretty much starving, and we had a pretty terrible waitress, so it was AGES before we got our food. But it was quite good and in large quantities when we finally got it. We all stuffed ourselves. That was a 2 hour experience but filled the need.
So the rest of the afternoon has been pretty low key. I’ve spent most of it overseeing attempts to upgrade software on the xbox. It turned in to a 6-hour quest, but i learned a lot. Amy sensed my yearning to assist in helping so she hooked me up with Alex’s laptop, so i had Google at my fingertips.

And I just tried playing some star wars battlefield game, but it’s official, console games & I just aren’t friends. I can only play with a mouse.
Amy & her friend, Elizabeth, are making a variety of foods for our dinner. It smells delicious. But I believe I’ll be heading home soon after eating, as it’s getting late and I need to go home at some point.
It was a different new years from what I’m used to but it all worked out by the end and has turned in to a great time. I just fear to imagine what the last few days would have been like without being friends with Amy.
