On the Track
February 12, 2011
An unexpected day at the track with Audi.

My first video project launched and I embarked on my semi-annual shopping spree.
It’s been a theme of rediscovery over the past few weeks. From seeing an old film in a new setting to reviving lost habits in pursuit of happiness, it’s an exciting time which I’m labeling my Renaissance. I can feel the possibilities ahead and see chances to either repeat old mistakes or break out of a cycle. Sharing lots of inspiration and insights to the real guts of my current state of mind.
Finally doing some editing work at the office. Picked up some new furniture and documented the evolution of the apartment. Quick notes on weekend outings with Kurt to North Beach Festival and Jeremiah to Faust.
Sometimes derailments take us to better places. This week had so many atypically good things that it warranted a 7-page essay.
An unexpected field trip to a Nike video shoot which prevented a nervous breakdown a day before I celebrate the end of my “newness” to San Francisco.
The company holiday party delivered some of the expected mischief but stopped short of co-workers stripping on the bar. Sadly.
A farewell party for a co-worker turned in to an evening adventure to the Mission for pizza and darts. Oh, and I got a sofa. That was big news for my back.
There were tricks and treats with this year’s Halloween. A late night of sewing at Kali’s paid off when she got 2nd runner-up for the work costume contest.
Lunch with Hup, Spindig 3rd anniversary, and a front row seat to Fleet Week…all before I head off to join a cult.
My take on Into The Wild, work news, and enduring transitions.
Sweet dreams of San Francisco but frustrations with too many postcard photos for photo week.
The beginnings of photo week and sickness-driven quarter-life crises.
My first company picnic. I barely knew anyone, but I branched out and had a decent day. It was my first trip across Golden Gate, and the trip back over was extra special.
My revitalized interest in the Doves isn’t doing much to compensate for my nervous baking. Final days before Amsterdam and work is on the upswing.
