Comedy Comeback, SF Style

Comedy comeback and retirement.
Comedy comeback and retirement.
Comedy comeback and retirement.
I mixed up Christmas this year by heading to Las Vegas via Death Valley for a Very Vegas Christmas.
Our planned drive along the coast to hit LA for a NIN show took a few detours, few of which were good. It didn’t turn out to be the amazing adventure I had hoped for at all.
I spent a long weekend in Nashville, TN, marking an item off the bucket list and hanging out with some of the best people you’ll ever know.
$80 is the most I’ve paid to see any single performer. I spent the evening in 8th row with Jerry Seinfeld and Mario Joyner, and it was worth every cent.
Karaoke. Alone. Sober. In public.
I’d been waiting for this night for a long time. It was the driving force behind paying $260 for 3 days of music. At last, I can say I’ve seen Radiohead. Despite technical difficulties, it was worth the wait.
A message to a stranger hooked me up with an incredibly intimate concert with Conor Oberst. On the way home, I got news that I’d help someone live out a dream.
Pavarotti died and eliminated the possibility of marking everything off my life to-do list. Also got some bad news about an old friend, but managed to forget my troubles at the final Fun Dumpster show.
My first night under the bright lights. I survived and think I’ll be going back. List item check.
Jenna and I finally got to see our man Trent Reznor live and in-person. It was an incredible experience.
Hung out with the parents while they were in town and spent the next day soaking in the goodness that is Java Roaster. Had a great night earlier in the week with the Kingman’s.
Got to live out some level of a dream, seeing a Pacers/Bulls game from court-side for a little bit, though without any of the players I’d loved as a kid.
A series of unimportant updates about what I’m up to: concert discovery, dishwasher fixing, and documentaries on quantum physics.
A list item had to be altered when I got news that Pavarotti had given his last performance.
