This Cellar Door

It’s been a theme of rediscovery over the past few weeks. From seeing an old film in a new setting to reviving lost habits in pursuit of happiness, it’s an exciting time which I’m labeling my Renaissance. I can feel the possibilities ahead and see chances to either repeat old mistakes or break out of a cycle. Sharing lots of inspiration and insights to the real guts of my current state of mind.

I finally made it down to Pier 27 to see Team AKQA play some soccer. It was a great time and we closed down the night at Pier 23, a bar down the way.

I couldn’t resist posting about a dream I had several years ago that has now resurfaced with new meaning.

Quick note about beautiful days and good music.

The date that was suspended by my lingering sickness finally happened. I don’t share many details, but it did have an amusing end. The weekend wasn’t a complete loss, closing out with a Super Bowl party at Cerra’s & a trip to Amoeba.

An early morning near-death experience closed with the most heavenly sight, watching the first dance of President & First Lady Obama at the Neighborhood Ball.

I bid farewell to an expensive, old friend that I spilled water all over and ruined. First time in my history where I couldn’t say “it’s okay. it’s just water.”

The first day I’ve been able to handle hearing any political news in a long time.

I went on a date. Maybe I should label this as news.

Got my iPhone from a Kentucky boy, piled 15+ people in a van, and finally got a real mattress to rest upon.

Came across some interesting SF history, while eavesdropping on the Slow Food festival going on at Fort Mason.
